#ShadeForChange

There are many, many reasons why I'm grateful to have married into the family that I did. One of the many is the caring and compassionate people that I now get to call family. I've joined one of my cousins on that side of the family in co-creating a creative and inspirational project aiming to supply umbrellas and masks to protestors joining the March on Washington 2020 on August 28th.  I'm honored to help fundraise for this grassroots campaign that is seeking to provide umbrellas to protect  protestors from the elements, aid in social distancing and as a sweeping visual for this plea for change. More info available upon request! Against the wishes of my grandparents, my dad left a letter explaining why he felt he had to go and headed to Selma, Alabama to march with Dr. King. It's disappointing that all these years later we're still fighting against racism and for basic human rights to apply to all. It's no surprise that I am very supportive of the protests that
